The traditional scrap of paper as a bookmark was always a less-than-ideal solution for me. Because I like to leave my books open when I've finished reading, I came up with a completely new idea. I wanted something better. Something that resembles the shape of an open book, taking care of it in the process. The idea for the book hook was born. On the basis of my sketches, I had a prototype made. After optimising material, angle, and edge of the book hook, my partners and I succeeded in producing a marketable product of the highest quality. The book hook is an innovative bookmark, a practical place to keep books and an attractive design object all in one.
